Panel set up to probe 5 policemen on massage parlor list

AN investigation committee has been set up to probe the 5 top officers of Wang Thong Lang police station who were listed as being among the customers of Victoria’s Secret massage parlor which was raided last Friday, INN News reported this morning (Jan 16).

Pol. Lt-Gen. Charnthep Sesavej, commissioner of Metropolitan police, said he had ordered this committee to find out the truth about the 5 police officers.

The committee will be headed by Pol. Maj. Gen. Kridthapon Yisakorn, deputy commissioner of Metropolitan Police, and has 30 days to complete the investigation. However, if need be, an extension could be made.

Pol. Lt-Gen. Charnthep added that if the police officers were found to have committed wrongdoing then procedural steps will be followed.

On the finding of names of police officers at the Metropolitan Police headquarters on the list of those getting discounts and free service at the raided massage parlor, he said justice has to be upheld and authorities have to be fair and consider the evidence first.
