Podul continues to dump rainfall
Tropical storm Podul, which has weakened into a depression, continues to dump rainfall in Nan, Phitsanulok and Khon Kaen, causing landslides in several villages in the three provinces, the Thai-language Daily News reported (August 31, 2019).
In Nan, landslides blocked the entry into 14 houses in Huay Jod Village, while flash floods hit five sub-districts in Phitsanulok.
In Khon Kaen, Huay Jik Canal overflowed and flooded 300 houses in the municipal area. People trapped on their roofs were rescued and taken to higher grounds late this morning.
