Tourists advised to stay away from jellyfish in Trat
The five-kilometer-long Ban Chuen Beach in the eastern coastal Thai province of Trat is popular among locals and tourists, who enjoy swimming in the crystal clear water.
However, tourists must be careful not to touch the jellyfish, which can cause rashes on their skin, the Thai-language daily Matichon reported yesterday (June 20, 2020).
Some locals catch the jellyfish and bottle them in water mixed with local herbs, which are popular among tourists from Mainland China and Taiwan.
