Tropical storm warning for 40 Thai provinces

Meteorological Department Director-General Somsak Kaosuwan this morning (April 25, 2020) issued a warning about a tropical storm that will affect four regions of the country.

People are advised to avoid being in open spaces, under big trees or big advertising posters.

The four regions likely to be affected during April 25-26 are:-

— Northern region, which includes Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Phrae, Nan, Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, Sukhothai, Tak, Kamphaengpet, Phichit and Phetchabun.

—  Northeastern region, which includes Loei, Nong Bualampoo, Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Maha Sarakham, Kalasin and Nakhon Ratchasima.

— Central region, which includes Bangkok, Nakhon Sawan, Lop Buri, Uthai Thani, Chainat, Kanchanaburi, Suphan Buri and Ratchaburi.

— Eastern region, which includes Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.

— Southern region, which includes  Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat.
