Tropical storm warning during Songkran
METEOROLOGICAL Department director-general Wanchai Sak-udomchai today (April 10) advised travelers to drive carefully during the Songkran Festival on April 15-17, 2018 as a summer storm will be raging in northern part of the country, the Thai-language Daily News reported.
Mr Wanchai said the storm will affect the following provinces:-
April 15, 2018:
Northeastern region: Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Bungkarn, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukahan, Kalasin, Roi-et, Yasothon, Si Sa Ket, Amnart Charoen and Ubon Ratchathani.
Eastern region: Prachin Buri and Sa Kaeo.
April 16-17, 2018
Northern region: Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit, Tak, Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun.
Northeastern region: Loei, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Maha Sarakham, Buri Ram, Surin, Si Sa Ket and Ubon Ratchathani.
Central region: Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Lop Buri, Ayutthaya, Chainat, Sing Buri, Angthong, Suphan Buri, Bangkok and its adjoinging provinces
Eastern region: Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sakaeo, Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
