The robbers of a safe with 10 Million THB cash inside have been arrested, officials still searching for the last suspect involved in the crime. The incident took place on 22 August 2020 when a group of robbers robbed a room located on the 2nd floor of a private company building in Muak Lek District, Saraburi Province. The gang managed to get away with carrying a safe down from the 2nd floor and out of the building. Inside the safe was US dollar bills worth over 7 Million THB, Chinese Yuan bills, and Indonesian Rupiah bills worth over 3 Million THB, the total value of cash comes to over 10 Million THB. The safe was placed in a truck and was spotted heading into Chachoengsao Province. The owner of the safe is Jang Hui Jwean from China.
The Commander of Saraburi Provincial Division Police major General Chayanon Meesati, Police Lieutenant Pobchanok Chalanukro, Police Colonel Ketsada Wacharanon, and Police Colonel Kanabadee Lerdamornsak from Saraburi Police reported on 28 October 2020 the arrests of Prem 34-year-old a Chinese interpreter, Wuttisad 33-year-old, Bangorn 36-year-old, Nipon 36-year-old, Athit 39-year-old, and Thanongsak 24 year old. All suspects were arrested on the 26th and are facing charges relating to the safe robbery during night time.
Police also found evidence in the case including 5 phones, a gray Mitsubishi truck with a Nong Bua Lamphu Province license plate, multiple bankbooks, and clothes the suspects wore while committing the crime. Prem admitted that he went to rob the building on the date. He has great knowledge of the building, most security cameras were shut down before the group entered the building. Wuttisad and Bangorn are married, the couple found the remaining suspects to commit the crime with them. Nipon was responsible for finding an escape vehicle. There is one remaining man wanted involved in the crime, Thanawut Kaewprasit 28-year-old from Chaiyaphum Province.
