Iranian held for kidnapping, raping ex-Thai wife

AN Iranian man who kidnapped his former Thai wife and shaved her head plus demanded the return of 30,000 baht in Pattaya has been arrested, INN News and Khao Sod daily reported this morning (Sept 21, 2018)

Pol. Col. Krisana Pattanacharoen, a deputy spokesman of the Royal Thai Police, said Miss Thanyaluck, 21, came together with a foreign friend to file a complaint at Pattaya police station at 8 p.m. yesterday that her former Iranian husband had at 4 p.m. on Wednesday September 19 kidnapped her as she was strolling down Walking Street.

He forced her to get on a motorcycle, and when she cried out for help, and tourists in the area tried to do so, they were instead beaten by her ex-husband’s 2 subordinates, who told the tourists this was an issue between a married couple.

She was then taken handcuffed with her mouth taped shut to a condo by her former Iranian husband, with whom she had lived for a year and broken up 2 weeks ago.

There her head was shaved and she was raped while also threatened to resume their relationship. She was later forced to sign an agreement to return 30,000 baht in cash before October 15, if not a fine of 500 baht a day would be levied.

She added that she managed to escape and reach the police after telling her former husband that she had to go and get her clothes.
