Heavy rain in Thonburi this morning
HEAVY rain pounded Thonburi side of Bangkok this morning (Oct. 24) with storm clouds moving to the Gulf of Thailand and traffic slowing down in many areas, INN News reported.
A weather radar map of Bangkok showed storm clouds over Nong Khaem, Bang Khae, Phasi Charoen, Bang Khun Thian, Thung Khru and Chatuchak districts of Bangkok and Phra Pradaeng and Phra Samut Chedi districts of Samut Prakarn with many other areas also overcast.
Heavy rain in Tha Phra area led to traffic slowing down near the tunnel at Tha Phra-The Mall intersection with there also being bad traffic jams at Rama 2 road in front of soi 82 .
Meanwhile the Thai Meteorological Department said today that during October 24-28 a strong high pressure from China covers the northern part of the country leading to cooler weather with the temperature dropping by 1-3°C amid windy conditions and isolated thundershowers.
The strong monsoon trough across the upper South will cause more rain with isolated heavy falls.
During Oct 29-30 another high pressure from China will cover upper Thailand leading to the temperature dropping by 2-4°C with it also being windy.
The South will continue to be hit by more rain with isolated heavy falls.
