Father and son held for bank robbery
A 37-year-old Thai man and his 17-year-old son were arrested today (May 1,) for allegedly robbing a Thanachart Bank branch in Nonthaburi Province, bordering Bangkok, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported.
The robbery reportedly took place at 2 p.m. on April 20, when the duo entered the bank brandishing a toy gun and grenade, and made off with 300,000 baht in cash.
Thanks to the bank’s CCTVs, police detectives were able to track down the robbers, who claimed that they had already spent half of the stolen money on food and entertainment.

This area used to be a haven for outlaws of every description and was also a stronghold of the Wild Bunch, Butch Cassidy’s motley band of bank robbers, train stickup men, and horse and cattle rustlers.
