Mr Anukoon Wannasut was in shock as the house-owner and neighbors pulled him out of the car, which nearly missed her house.

An eye-witness said he saw the car hitting the wall of the car park several times before it crashed through it. The amulets that the old man wore around his neck might have saved him, he said.

Police will make further investigation to find out the real cause of the accident.
