Monitor lizard causes panic on Pattaya beach
LOCAL and foreign tourists scurried for safety this afternoon (Oct. 21) after seeing something that looked like a crocodile swimming in the sea off Pattaya Beach, Sanook.com reported.
Ten lifeguards spent more than one hour looking for the elusive animal, which finally turned out to be a one-meter-long monitor lizard,
Panic turned to relief, as tourists scurried for their cellphones and snapped photos of the animal, which will be released into the wild.
