Panicked car thief caught red-handed
A 25-year-old car thief was caught by Nonthaburi provincial police who mistook him for a car owner in distress today (April 26), according to sanook.com.
The thief stole the car from a restaurant car park on Tuesday night and drove it into a narrow street near his home. As he tried to change the car’s registration plate in the morning, a police patrol car passed by and asked if he needed help.
As the police got out of the car, the panicked thief ran off, with the policemen giving chase. Police also found 70,000 baht in cash inside the car.
