Police find 7 drug gangs, 22M yaba pills and 620kg crystal meth.

Police have found 7 drug gangs and seized 22 million yaba pills and 620 kilograms of crystal meth. Narcotics Suppression Bureau (NSB) Police reported the arrest of 17 suspects connected to 7 drug gangs on 7 July 2023. Officials also seized large amounts of drugs, 12 cars, and assets connecting to the drug bust. The first case took place on 12 June 2023 when police received information about drugs being moved from Nakhon Phanom Province to other provinces. The suspect named Suwit was driving a gray truck spotted in Sakhon Nakhon Province. Police tracked the vehicle down and arrested the suspect. Inside were 5 bags of yaba pills, with a total of 2 million yaba pills. 

 

 

The second case was a seizure of drugs being moved from Northern Thailand. Police arrested Peerawat, Vichai, and Pong on 13 June 2023 in Ayutthaya Province. Police found 500 kilograms of crystal meth in the vehicle. In the third case, police received information about a drug gang and spotted a suspicious vehicle on 19 June 2023. They followed the big truck and arrested Tonpat the driver. There were 120 packs of tea weighing 120 kilograms. Inside was not tea but was instead crystal meth. Tonpat stated he has done this 5 times before. 

 

 

For the fourth case, police arrested Pakorn and Chatchai on 28 June 2023. They noticed a suspicious vehicle in Ayutthaya Province. There were 3 million yaba pills hidden inside the truck. In the fifth case, police arrested Jetsadakorn and Apisek along with 6 million yaba pills. The drugs were moved from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai Province. In the sixth case, police arrested 6 suspects including Charoenchai, Kesini, Supan, Ratchita, Yothanat, and Titima. 3 vehicles were carrying 9 bags of drugs with 5 million yaba pills inside. NSB Police had 18 important drug cases in June 2023 with 30 arrests.
