Singaporean man wanted hiding in Ko Lanta.

Krabi Immigration Police arrested a Singaporean man with an arrest warrant in Ko Lanta Island. Muhummad 34 years old from Singapore is facing charges relating to theft during nighttime with the help of a vehicle. Ao Nang Police contacted the Krabi Immigration Police with information about a Singaporean man hiding in Krabi Province. Investigation revealed the suspect was residing inside a home located on Ko Lanta. An investigation started and police inspected the location.

 

 

When police arrived they found the suspect sitting in front of a rented room. They asked his name and it was the suspect. Muhummad admitted that he stole a phone from a local phone shop in Ao Nang. Afterward, he knew the police would be looking for him and traveled to Ko Lanta to find a hiding spot. Police investigation revealed the man was staying in a rented room on the island. Officials presented themselves and arrested Muhummad right away.

The Krabi Immigration Police wish to inform tourists and expats to report their change of address when they move as this is required by Immigration law.
