State of emergency lifted in Bangkok
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has revoked the state of severe emergency declaration in Bangkok and related orders, effective from noon today (Oct 22, 2020), the Thai-language daily Matichon reported.
The reason given was that the situation has eased and government officials can handle the issue through normal measures.
The announcement was published in the Royal Gazette.
