Stressful woman charged with matricide
A 40-year-old woman was arrested last night and charged with killing her mentally sick mother, INN News reported today (July 21).
The matricide took place last April in a rented room in the eastern Thai province of Chachoengsao, where the couple lived. The tearful daughter told police she had grave financial problems, and the burden of caring for her sick mother drove her to commit matricide.
“We barely made ends meet with my little income. I got drunk on the night I killed her. I ran away. I was so sorry that it ended up this way.”
