Temple lets couple organize chanting and cremation for their pet
Miss Kallayani Taentong (51) and her husband Chaiyan Sooktej (47) were in tears when their pet dog named “Fufu” died at the age of 13 and 3 months at their home in Nakhon Chaisi District of Nakhon Pathom Province on April 2, 2021.
The couple contacted the abbot of Toongtarn Temple in Village Group 8 of Jaydeehak Sub-district in Muang District of Ratchaburi Province, who agreed to let them organize religious rites for their pet.
The atmosphere was humble. A photo of “Fufu” was placed in front of the coffin and religious chanting was held for three days, ending on April 5.
The cremation will be done yesterday (April 6, 2021).
