Tourists welcome early winter in Loei
A large number of Thai tourists early this morning (Oct 29, 2018) welcomed an early arrival of cool weather on top of a mountain inside Phu Ruea National Park in the northern Thai province of Loei, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported.
At 7 a.m., the temperature dropped to between 15-17 degrees Celcius, and everyone stayed on vantage points to soak up the first ray of sunshine.
In the provincial town and nearby districts, local officials have started distributing warm clothes to needy residents.
Tour companies, meanwhile, have made preparations to welcome tourists from Bangkok and other provinces.
