University student jumps to his death from condo
A YOUNG man studying at Chulalongkorn University jumped to his death from his condominium this morning (Aug. 2, 2018) with his brother saying he was stressed out over his studies, the Thai-language daily Matichon reported.
At 11 a.m. police from Bang Sue station, doctors from Police Hospital and Por Teck Tung Foundation rescuers rushed to Lumpini Place Phahonyothin-Saphan Kwai condominium on Pradiphat road where they found the unidentified student dead at the 3rd floor car park. Beneath him was a pillow.
The deceased youth was a student of Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Dentistry and appeared to have jumped from the 16th floor condominium he was living in with 2 brothers.
One of the brothers told police that he had come down to buy some food, but when he went up he could not find him, but after a few moments saw that he was dead.
He added that his brother, who was in the second year of his university education, was stressed out over his studies.
Police said they did not find a suicide note in the room nor any signs of it having been searched. They have sent his body for forensic examination at Police Hospital and after that will contact his relatives to arrange a funeral service.
